The Phoenix ZOO

Torey+boys, Mom and I decided to go to the Phoenix zoo a few weeks ago. Being that it was October, we thought we had worked around Mother Nature and were planning for a nice cool afternoon; however, mother nature thought otherwise and surprised us with yet again another triple digit day. The up side to this story.....we practically had the Zoo to ourselves YAY:)

We started off by watching a free show were the the Zoo employees brought out a few small animals for an audience to see up close.

A rhino. Parley kept saying he wanted to poke it with his stick, lol, boys will be boys I guess.

This squirrel was VERY friendly. It would come right up to us, stand on two feet and check us out. If we didn't do anything it would come closer and closer and closer. At one point it practically chased Parley up into my lap!

The goats are always a nice interactive attraction.
....and we couldn't leave without at least one run-in with our favorite animal....the Peacock;-)
....more like the NOT so favorite animal.
Maybe we should try the Elephants again....I'm thinking he liked those a lot more:)
