DIE WEEDS DIE

After owning my home for only a month or so I was surprised one day to walk out my back door and find these nasty awful things growing out of control everywhere in my backyard. They were tall, they had bugs in them, they smelt gross, and they grew like weeds! When I was home shopping I knew there was something I needed on my must have list and that was a maintenance free backyard. I thought I got that when picking this house with the 1 lonely palm tree and rocks everywhere. I couldn't possibly kill a bunch of rocks could I? Well I was certainly out smarted when these suckers came up everywhere in my front and backyard come around Spring time.

I didn't dare go back any further to get pictures of the other side of the house because the weeds were so prevalent. Did I mention there were bugs everywhere....I don't like bugs.

 

So last Monday my wonderful mother, brother and puppy had a great idea to come over and see if we can tackle these nasty things together and look at our results.

Now I can actually go back there and even have plans to plant a small vegetable garden on the ledge.

Of course Parker and Morgan weren't much help but Parker did enjoy listening to me curse at the weeds and sing a little song that goes "die weeds die." It took a few hours but wow did it make a difference and I am now committed to keeping these ugly suckers from every growing here again. Did I mention my Mom is awesome :)
