Spring Forward

Arizona is great for so many reason but one in particular has to do with that special time of year where we all pretend its a hour earlier/later than it really is, yep daylight savings time. If you say that phrase to a native AZ'in they will probably stare at you blankly wondering what in the heck you're talking about since AZ is one of the few places that doesn't change their clocks. So you might think we got it good, we never have to worry about this time of year and getting a hour more/less of sleep, as the rest of the world is fretting beforehand. So I woke this morning like every other day in my bed. The first thing I reached for was my phone as I needed to check the time, wanting to make sure I took full advantage of sleeping in on the weekend but not too much that I miss my 1 o'clock church meetings. The clocked showed 9 AM. Ah perfect! I relaxed and rested the usual 15-30 more minuets in bed wondering if I could fall back to sleep but to no avail. I finally gave in to my waking mind and got up, found some food I could eat (pork salad, what a good breakfast) watched some TV, got ready for church, walked out the door and noticed the clock in my kitchen was wrong. That's weird? Out the door I went and into my car, driving down the street I looked at my cars clock. It's showing 11:45 AM, is it wrong too?

I called my sister, surely she will know what time it is. To my dismay she proceed to tell me that yes indeed I was a hour early for church! How could this be? Of course, in the one place where you don't have to worry about daylight savings time my phone decides to automatically change on me!?

Regardless of the confusion I now had an hour to kill and as I  drove to church I noticed some of the most beautiful flowers that were blossoming. Like seriously, they were gorgeous and came in every color you could imagine so I decided to take advantage of my extra hour and get some pictures.

At first I really liked the purple ones, but then I found the multi colored ones with purple and yellow! So cool! Those flowers rocked! So I guess my mistake in the morning did have some positive benefits in that I got to check out these beautiful spring flowers.
