It all started with the owls at the county club. How neat to see such a rare animal in so close a proximity. Who knew I was about to see much, much, more. In the last 6 weeks I have encountered pigeons, quails, prairie dogs, centipedes, king snakes, coyotes, woodpeckers, bullfrogs, wild pigs, cottontail rabbits, lizards (1 of which is now missing a tail due to Shilohs ninja like instincts) and I can't forget my friend bob...the bobcat. After running into him on 3 different occasions, 1 of which was way too close for comfort, I decided he deserved a suitable name.
When outside in my backyard I found another example for this wilderness of a home. This little bird was trying desperately to make a nest out of our outdoor fan. They sure are clever little things, shelter and A/C, those are the first 2 necessities for an Arizonian.

With this many animal sightings I bet even the croc hunter would be jealous.
