Well this all started out as a little trip to the tack store to buy some much needed fly spray for Sparks. Once there I decided I might as well take it over to the barn. Since it wasn't such a hot day I figured it would be a fun idea to get him out and lunge him to see how he goes. Then of course a hosing off was needed, but as long as my bath supplies were out I decided to go the whole nine yards and bath him. This then turned into mane and tail shampooing and conditioning which then turned to hoof conditioning and then some bacterial treatments on his legs....ugh. So slowly but surely Sparks was given the royal treatment of exercise and hygiene. He returned this favor from his master by being, what else but, an absolute prince:) Sparky is the best horse ever and I'm soo very blessed to have him. Days like this remind me of just how awesome he truly is!!

Here's the final product. He was soo clean he practically smelt like roses!!!

Waiting for his coat to dry, which didn't take long in this Arizona heat.

His face is always a challenge to wash. This time he was just a little stubborn and with some patience from his master, we were able to get that star of his sparkling white.

These are his hoofs trimmed and conditioned.

....and these are mine. After all the work was done, I'm always left with wet pants, muddy soles, and soggy socks, but there's no doubt in my mind it was worth every bit of it.
That horse sparkled BEFORE you bathed him. He must look dazzling now!
