A Thunderstorm Facade

The monsoons are here and last night we saw one in full force brewing to the entire west and north of us. The sky and clouds were soo pretty and full of energy I had to take some pictures to prove it.

It's funny that these dark and billowy clouds will part for a short instant to show its inverse of bright beautiful blue sky behind them.

I thought it was cool how the suns rays would streak all the way through the sky when you were at just the right angle.




For how dark and intimidating these clouds looked, it sure ended up to be a case of all bark and no bite. Or more like NO bark and NO bite because I didn't see even a glimmer of rain or hear a whisper of thunder from these guys. Its a bummer because we could always use the rain but more importantly, who doesn't love a good roaring thunderstorm????:)
